weekly wrap up
Yesterday was a very eventful day. It started with me and Daniel driving to Topeka to see his family briefly (it was his niece’s 12th birthday). We quickly wished her a Happy Birthday before heading off to the my friend Jen’s wedding, which was held in the beautiful countryside of Kansas.
Here the bride is walking down the aisle with her father. The weather was absolutely perfect for an outdoor wedding.
Bad photo quality but here’s Jen and Clayton’s first dance (they’re smiling at each other! how cute!).
And check out the cake! Her sister-in-law made it. Isn’t she awesome? It was gorgeous, and absolutely delicious!
We had to snap a quick photo of ourselves at the wedding. Yeah, same dress I’ve been wearing to the other weddings, haha. Gotta get my money’s worth!
Lookie who caught the garter. Hehe. Clayton proudly placed it on Daniel’s head. I took the liberty of documenting the event.
And check out the fabulous meal. Salad, pasta, bruschetta, mashed potatoes, fried zucchini, green beans, and chicken. Pure deliciousness. I was obsessed with the bruschetta and kept getting more. Oh and before the meal they had a snack station with a bunch of veggies and fresh fruit. I was surprisingly more interested in consuming the veggies than the fruit. I had severely small plates full.
|Dinner||Lots of veggies and ranch dip||200|
|Dessert||Wedding cake and brownie||430|
I totally just estimated on the actual meal at the wedding but it’s probably accurate. I didn’t eat everything you see featured. I tried to stop when I was full… but I did have a few more slices of bruschetta.
Hopefully I was able to dance off some of those calories. They played some fun group dances like the wobble and cupid shuffle. I also made Daniel dance with me a lot. So, does that count as my workout? Probably not, haha.
Now it’s time for the Weekly Wrap-up!
I definitely have some improving to do. I think I gained weight this past week. And I failed to not eat sweets. We are reinstating that goal this week in hopes to see an improvement. By the way, I’m not counting the banana ice cream as a sweet since all it is is a frozen banana (with a little nutella). A girl’s gotta have something to make it through the week!
Now I need to get ready for another busy week! But this time, instead of a lot of social events with friends and family, I will be busy with school and studying and networking (eeek!). Already looking forward to the weekend when I can relax.
Enjoy the rest of your Sunday evening!
