Is that too cliché for my first blog post? Oh well.
So here’s the deal: You know how you’re on Pinterest and you see these awesome Before & After transformations of people losing weight and getting in shape and then you click on them and there’s no link or it’s some scam site? What’s the deal?! I want to know how they did it. Everything from what they ate, when they ate, what workouts they did, the amount of weights they used, etc. I want to know it all. I want to be able to replicate that to get my own awesome, amazing results. But, alas, I can’t.
If you feel the same way then you’re in the right place. On Health My Lifestyle I plan to chronicle everything I’m doing in order to get in shape and I’m hoping you’ll hold me accountable. No more excuses! I’ll tell you everything I eat (for the most part) and all of my workouts.
I plan to use MyFitnessPal a free calorie counter that you can use on any computer or mobile device. You can friend me on there by searching my email: firstname.lastname@example.org or my username: healthmylifestyle. I have it on my iphone and it is very user friendly! Depending on how quickly you want to lose weight (I have it set to 1.5 lb/week) it will adjust your daily calorie intake. You can use the search bar to add the food you eat, add your recipes on there, and scan the bar code of any food to keep track of your calories. It even lets you add your workouts and calories burned to your diary. Can you tell I’m a little obsessed? I plan to use it every day but as I get familiar with the foods I eat and become comfortable with estimating calories I may use it less. We’ll see!
You may also see me mention my boyfriend, Daniel, a lot on this blog. He’s going to be my personal trainer by assisting me with workouts and to also slap my hand away when I reach for sweets. My hero =)
So I’m sure everyone is waiting to see the before photos. I’ll be posting those tomorrow along with my workout and what I’ve been eating. As of now I weigh 134.6. My goal is to lose 10lbs by the time school starts August 26th. That’s a little less than 8 weeks which equals out to be 1.25lb/week lost. I plan to weigh in once a week and possibly take progress photos once a week but maybe a month for progress will be better so you can actually see a difference.
So thanks for stopping by and don’t hesitate to share your own journey! Any helpful tip is much appreciated!
