How to make this strawberry banana milkshake

To a high-speed blender, add strawberries, frozen bananas, non-dairy milk, and vegan ice cream (if using). If the ice cream is too hard to scoop, leave it at room temperature for 1-2 minutes.

Top Tips

  • Use a frozen banana: This gives the milkshake a thick and creamy texture, and it also makes it cold and refreshing. Make sure to use overripe bananas to add natural sweetness.
  • For the best flavor, use strawberries when they’re in season: They’re sweeter, juicy, and taste so much better! It’s a key step if you want to make an amazing milkshake. If you don’t have access to fresh seasonal strawberries, it’s better to use frozen strawberries instead.
  • Use a high-speed blender: This will ensure that all of the fruits are blended and the milkshake is completely smooth without adding too much liquid.
  • Adjust the sweetness as needed: The best part about making milkshakes at home is that you get to decide how sweet you want them to be! You can add more or less ice cream, depending on your personal preferences. Or if you’re making this recipe without ice cream, you can add 1-2 tablespoons of maple syrup or another sweetener of your choice.
